Company Profile

Schetzer Brott & Appel was founded in 1947 by the late Mr Les Schetzer.

Michael Brott joined him as an employee solicitor in 1964 and became a principal in 1965.

Les Schetzer and Michael Brott operated from premises in Fitzroy and, in 1973 Jeffrey Appel joined the firm as an articled clerk and became a principal in 1979.

In 1974 Les Schetzer passed away and Messrs Brott and Appel operated a successful practice in Fitzroy focusing on property, commercial and litigation matters.

In 1995 the firm relocated to the CBD and began to act in more significant and large scale litigation, property and commercial transactions. Since then the firm has grown expedientially both in size and in the significance of the work undertaken by it.

Schetzer Brott & Appel is now the epitome of a boutique law firm specialising in property and commercial transactions and commercial litigation. While it now handles large scale transactional and litigation work it has not forgotten its beginnings and prides itself on continuing to offer clients direct principal contact, personal attention and outstanding value for the results it continually achieves.
