Peta-Monique Olive is a Senior Associate with the firm, having joined in early 2007. Peta specialises in compulsory acquisition matters, commercial litigation and dispute resolution and works closely with Jeffrey Appel. Peta acts in matters covering the contractual and commercial dispute arena, corporate and personal insolvency, building and property disputes and debt recovery. Peta's clients include large and small public and private companies, company directors and private individuals. Peta has practised at all jurisdiction levels from the Magistrates' Court to the Federal Court and the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal.

Peta is committed to achieve the best legal and commercial results for her clients. She prides herself on providing prompt advice to clients which considers the strengths and weaknesses of claims, defences and potential outcomes.

Experience
Prior to joining Schetzer Brott & Appel in early 2007, Peta was employed by a Melbourne mid-tier firm for seven years where she built a practice in the areas of commercial, contractual and liability disputes which involved acting for the Victorian Workcover Authority and major Insurers.

Qualifications/Professional Affiliations
Peta graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of New England in New South Wales.

She is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria Young Lawyers and Litigation Sections and the Victorian Women Lawyers Association.
