Jeffrey Appel completed his Law Degree at Melbourne University and has been with Schetzer Brott & Appel since 1979.
Jeffrey specializes in commercial litigation, commercial structures, mergers and acquisitions generally, with an emphasis on large scale and complex commercial litigation including Contract Law, Trade Practices, Building Disputes, Banking and Finance issues across a range of industry sectors.
Jeffrey acts and continues to act for some of Melbourne's highest profile personalities, which include a diverse group of commercial organizations and family run businesses and has acted in some of Melbourne's most sizeable cases. He has developed a strong practice acting for pharmacists in acquisitions and sales.
He advises on insolvency and related matters and his expertise covers all forms of dispute resolutions, arbitrations and mediations.
Jeffrey predominately practices in the Supreme Court in either the Commercial List, a fast track for large urgent commercial matters or the General List and in the Federal Court of Australia.
Jeffrey's direction is client focused with the aim of developing close relationships and providing a cost effective professional service to meet today's rapidly changing business needs.
Outside the office Jeffrey is heavily involved in communal welfare groups, enjoys cycling, walking and gym and devoting his time to his wife Sue, children and grandchildren.
