Tessa is a lawyer in the firm’s real estate team.

Tessa has experience with a wide range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing, subdivisions and development projects. She has worked for a variety of private and public sector clients.

Tessa joined the firm in 2025 after spending several years practising in New Zealand.

Education

Tessa holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Politics.

Experience

• Represented a property development company in the subdivision and development of 17 townhouses.
• Advised a publicly listed New Zealand company on a strategic land swap involving the acquisition of property valued at NZD $15 million and the disposal of a property worth NZD $10 million. The transaction included complex leaseback arrangements with multiple entities and intricate funding structures.
• Acted for government department in a significant housing development project creating 53 new houses through a combination of freehold and unit title subdivisions.
• Advised a Crown Entity on the disposal of various properties, each valued up to $6 million and involving complex stakeholder considerations.
• Assisted a New Zealand company in managing its nationwide leasing arrangements, focusing on both day-to-day matters and property acquisitions/disposals.
• Acted on the property side of a sale of a large New Zealand business with 25 different locations nationwide.
